Convenience – people are reading non-book content on Kindle, why not your blog? Your readers may love the convenience of having their favourite blog pop up on their Kindle every day.
Security – Claim your feed. There is no process by which you verify you ‘own’ a particular feed. If I were unscrupulous, I could go in an claim anyone’s blog feed and get paid everytime a reader subscribes. Claim your feed now and protect it from being poached
Passive income – Amazon sets the price at between $0.99 and $1.99 a month. You only get 30% of that, but it’s still a better return than many ad networks promise.
Pre-qualified customers – if readers are willing to pay for your content on the Kindle, they have pre-qualified themselves as people who are willing to pay for your stuff. Include plenty of enticing links to your products in the blog feed, maybe offer your Kindle readers an exclusive deal…
Lack of comeptition – the most crowded category in the Kindle Blog store is “Arts & Entertaining” with 3,481 titles. Type those categories into Google and you get 438,000,000 results. That’s a lot of competition. The ‘Science” category seems like a particularly good one on the Kindle with only 760 other titles competing for readers’ attention.
